Terms of Service
Last updated 16 July 2026.
1. Who we are
Core PDF is made and sold by Randcore Development (Pty) Ltd, registration number K2026/203931/07, Johannesburg, South Africa. You can reach us at info@randcore.co.za. These terms form an agreement between you and Randcore when you install or subscribe to Core PDF.
2. The licence
A subscription gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Core PDF on the number of devices your plan allows, for as long as your subscription is active. The software stays our property. You may not resell it, rent it, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.
Viewing PDFs is free forever, with no subscription. Saving, exporting, certificate signing and the other editing features need an active licence or a running trial.
3. The free trial
Your first installation includes a 7-day free trial of the full feature set, with no payment details required. When the trial ends, Core PDF keeps working as a viewer. The trial is meant for you to decide whether Core PDF is right for you before you pay.
4. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through our payment provider, Paystack. Prices are shown on our pricing page in South African Rand. Randcore is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your licence stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are covered in our Refund and Cancellation policy.
5. Updates
While your subscription is active you receive updates and fixes at no extra cost. We may change, add or remove features over time to keep the product healthy.
6. Acceptable use
Use Core PDF lawfully. Do not use it to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, or to process content you have no right to handle. You are responsible for the documents you open and edit.
7. Your documents and privacy
Core PDF is offline-first. Your documents stay on your machine and are never uploaded to us. How we handle the limited account and payment information we do hold is set out in our Privacy policy.
8. Warranty and liability
We work hard to make Core PDF reliable, but no software is perfect. Core PDF is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Randcore is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here removes rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act that cannot be excluded.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Core PDF and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end a licence if these terms are seriously breached. If we end your licence without cause, we refund the unused part of a prepaid period.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date, and where it matters we will let subscribers know by email. Continuing to use Core PDF after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
